Sinopsis

Claire Grant, the young lady of the Grant family, quarreled with her father and left home to take care of her boyfriend Alexander Hayes, who had lost his hearing and speech in a car accident. She pretended to be born deaf-mute and stayed by his side for three years, working odd jobs for his medical treatment. After recovering, Alexander grew to loathe his past life as a deaf-mute, ashamed of having a "deaf-mute" girlfriend. He then grew intimate with the scheming Victoria Miles, snubbing and hurting Claire in every possible way. Finally, Claire decided to break up with Alexander, follow her family's arrangement to go abroad, and be with Nicholas Carter, returning to her true life as a wealthy young lady.
